About Us
The Newitt family at Darlington Station, UK as we set off on our travels.
Here we are, the Newitt family. This is us setting off from Darlington station on our two year trip round the world (every big adventure has to start somewhere!)
Mikey (left), Kelly (right), Otto (bottom left, aged almost 2), Jessica (bottom right, aged 3). We lived in South West London for about 14 years but we're originally from Yarm a small, but not insignificant, town in the North East.
We decided London was not the place we wanted the kids to grow up; however much we've love it, we wanted something a bit more rural for their childhood. So with a heavy heart, at leaving such close family and such good friends, we sold our flat and resigned our jobs.
Luckily for us, Tooting had become pretty popular and so with a little extra profit from the sale, we embarked on this big adventure. The plan is to spend a year or two visiting some beautiful countries and basically having a great holiday before we move back to the North of England and the kids have to go to school. They're only young once, after all!
